Happy 22nd Datamaxx!

Can you believe today marks 22 years since we opened our doors at Datamaxx? Where did the time go? We have come a long way since opening that tiny 600-square-foot office where Jonathan Waters and I closed our first contract with the State of Nebraska. As we enter our 23rd year, we are once again faced with new challenges and an ever-changing market.

Datamaxx New Building Groundbreaking

It is certainly no secret the market has changed and budgets are tight in the law enforcement, public safety and criminal justice markets. But, as we know, necessity is the mother of invention and our optimism springs eternal.  All of us at Datamaxx welcome these challenges as new opportunities to explore innovation and develop creative solutions for the customers we serve to keep our country safe. Now more than ever, professionals in the public sector are realizing the value of public-private partnerships to improve information-sharing and therefore strengthen the security of our nation and its citizens. The movement to cloud-based technology is an excellent example of such forward thinking. We at Datamaxx have a history of forging these types of public-private partnerships, which have lead to innovative technology solutions while reducing the resource burden on our government entities. Datamaxx formed industry-first strategic partnerships, including becoming the first Strategic Partner Organization of Nlets. The Datamaxx Secure Cloud™, with a pending patent, boasts a number of local, state and federal customers. It became the first CJIS-compliant private cloud in 2003, and is now used nationally by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and supports a world-wide deployment for the U.S. Department of State, providing every U.S. Embassy access to CJIS data.

Though our industry is full of challenges, it is rewarding to know that all of us here at Datamaxx play a role in the protection of our homeland. I feel truly blessed to have been able to share these past 22 years with some of the most dedicated employees as well as customers who are true heroes, who risk their own lives on a daily basis to safeguard our country’s way of life. I look forward to many more years of milestones and innovation. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our grand adventure.

Let us all remember, the best is yet to come!

September 11, 2001 – We Remember

One of the Datamaxx team members sent out an inspiring message we’d like to share with you today.

Datamaxx Headquarters

Datamaxx Headquarters – 9/11/13

Many of you are familiar with this site. We see it, day in and day out. Just like the flag we so proudly fly out front, many of us take this site for granted. Why, you may ask? Well, human nature draws us toward peace and tranquility. Most of us yearn for coexistence with others. Sure, we have our differences. Always have, and always will, but to coexist in peace and harmony is our common goal. A common goal amongst nations, their people, their races, and their religions. Although the vastness of this planet that we call earth, abounds us, we are all very similar creatures.

This scene, here on this morning, represents that peace and tranquility, with one exception. You may notice our flag is flying at half staff. This, in remembrance of the lives lost, the families torn, and the change in the way our nation sees itself, and other nations. To this accord, the terrorists have been successful, but they certainly have not won the battle. You see, our great nation was founded on sound principles. Principles that we are not willing to compromise or forfeit. As it has for over 200 years, our nation will survive, and with each new challenge, will come back even stronger than before. And when our friends and neighbors need help, we will be there for them. That, my friend, is what this country stands for.

As you make it through this day, please take time to reflect, and to remember the lives that were lost on this day, twelve years ago. Remember the people, for that is what really matters.

Datamaxx and Flat Earth Partner to Make Mission-Critical Data Access More Affordable for TN Law Enforcement

Tallahassee, FL – (September 2013) At the Tennessee Information Enforcement System (TIES) User Group Conference in late August, Datamaxx Group, Inc. (Datamaxx) announced a new partnership to make information access and sharing more affordable for Tennessee law enforcement and public safety agencies. Datamaxx has teamed up with Flat Earth, a secure network solutions provider, to allow Tennessee agencies to remove their need for a costly “T-1” connection to the state for mission-critical data access. Agencies now can access and share data from TIES, Nlets and NCIC through the Datamaxx solution, Omnixx Force, via a secure “gateway” connection provided by Flat Earth, to realize considerable savings.

“Datamaxx is pleased to offer our Tennessee customers a more affordable way to access, collect, share and analyze information to improve efficiency and officer safety,” said Tommy Ellis, Director of State and Local Markets at Datamaxx. “The Omnixx Force solution using Flat Earth gateway technology saves agencies time and money, allowing them to focus on their missions.”

“Law enforcement and public safety agencies are facing increasing costs and decreasing budgets,” commented Dave Wilson, Vice President of Flat Earth. “We’re proud to be able to save these agencies valuable resources through this new partnership.”
