Tallahassee, FL (April 2021) – Datamaxx Applied Technologies, Inc. (Datamaxx) is pleased to announce award of a competitive procurement with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to replace the current Georgia Law Enforcement Message Switch, aka GLEMS, and related components. Datamaxx will replace the outdated LEMS with a new system designed to securely support the exchange of critical and confidential information between State of Georgia criminal and non-criminal justice agencies and other State and federal agencies via the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) network.
The GBI’s objective was to select a vendor that could support an open architecture system that uses asynchronous messaging, which allows for both message store and forward capabilities while allowing a secured connection to the system using a web-based interface. The Datamaxx Omnixx Enterprise Platform will provide a state-of-the-art message switch, zero-footprint client, and related interfaces that securely and seamlessly connect State of Georgia agencies to the GCIC CJIS network and provide access to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Interstate Identification Index (III), the International Justice and Public Safety Network (Nlets), as well as information systems of other vital agencies.
Datamaxx Director, Solutions Architecture, Donnie Lewis stated: “Datamaxx is excited at the opportunity to work with GBI to replace outdated technology and provide our modernized architecture and secure platform to all of the law enforcement agencies within the State of Georgia. The Omnixx Enterprise solution will serve GBI’s 10,000 users and over 3,000 agencies providing secure access to all FBI CJIS data sources as well as other international, state, tribal and territorial criminal justice and public safety data sources.”
